200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Davao

A foundational training rooted in steadiness (sthira) and ease (sukha). This 200-hour yoga teacher training in Davao gives you a strong base in practice and the real skill of teaching: clear cues, intelligent sequencing, safe alignment, and the confidence to adapt for different bodies and needs. We use learner-centered pedagogy—teaching to the student, not at the student—with sthira (structure, stability, skill) and sukha (ease, accessibility, sustainability) as a practical teaching framework.

Requirements

To join, you need a minimum of 1 year of regular yoga practice, including asanas (postures), meditation, and pranayama (breathwork). This helps ensure that the trainee is a real yoga practitioner. We believe a great teacher must become a great student first.

What makes this training different

Learner-centered pedagogy

You won't just memorize scripts or copy sequences. You'll learn how to assess what students need without overcomplicating it, offer options that make sense, cue with clarity and care, and teach in a way that builds self-trust in your students.

Sthira and Sukha as a teaching method

Sthira: skillful structure with alignment principles, sequencing logic, strength, and stability. Sukha: sustainable practice with modifications, props, pacing, and permission to choose wisely. Together, they create teaching that is both precise and humane.

Styles we focus on

This is a foundational training centered on two core styles: Hatha (steady, breath-led holds, clear alignment, and strong fundamentals) and Vinyasa (dynamic, flowing sequences with intelligent transitions and skillful pacing). You'll learn how to teach both in a way that is safe, structured, and adaptable to different bodies and levels.

Who this training is for

This training is a good fit if you want to deepen your personal practice with strong foundations, learn how to teach safely and confidently, understand yoga beyond shapes (breath, attention, steadiness), and become the kind of teacher who can work with real people, not just ideal bodies. You can join whether your goal is to teach professionally or to understand yoga in a structured, meaningful way.

What you'll learn

Teaching skills through learner-centered pedagogy: How you cue, pace, read the room, and help students learn without forcing, fixing, or performing. Verbal cueing that's clear, layered, and supportive; teaching different levels in the same room; regressions and progressions without shaming; class management, pacing, and presence; working with common limitations and pain patterns responsibly.

Practice and sequencing: Building a 60-minute balanced class (grounding, breath, asana, integration); designing classes with an intention; sequencing patterns you can repeat and adapt.

Asana and foundations: Alignment principles and safe setup; strength, mobility, and stability; intelligent use of props and variations.

Breathwork, meditation, and integration: Pranayama fundamentals and contraindications; meditation basics and how to guide it simply and safely; relaxation practices that actually land.

Anatomy and biomechanics: Practical anatomy for teaching; movement patterns, joint actions, and common compensation habits; cueing for safety without fear-based teaching.

Philosophy and ethics: Bhagavad Gita (dharma, steadiness, acting with clarity); Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (abhyasa, vairagya, the inner stance of the teacher); Hatha Yoga Pradipika (foundations of hatha, discipline with discernment); bringing yoga into real life—how you speak, listen, and lead on and off the mat.
